Dnomaid renamed to Terminal Soul & Huge Update!
Hi! This is a huge update to the project, and hopefully the last major update!
- Renamed game from "Dnomaid Text Game" to "Terminal Soul: Text Prototype".
- Seriously upped the number of events from 30-ish to 84!
- 3 endings instead of 1.
- Though the endings generally have the same outcome, they're perceived with a different attitude.
These are pretty much Mass Effect 3 endings. Too bad!
- Added a totally unnecessary tutorial.
- Redone lots & lots of dialogue! (Thanks anon!)
- Updated credits.
- Slightly new visual design.
- 4 legs are holding the box instead of 2, and more upright.
That's all. Hopefully this is the last time I touch this prototype. Why? Because this prototype was originally intended to be a short game for a class assignment, but anon liked the game and wanted me to expand upon it. However the concept will definitely reappear in the future.
TAKE EVERYTHING I SAY FROM HERE ON DOWN WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. NOTHING IS IN MOTION YET, SO I CAN'T MAKE ANY PROMISES!
How will the Terminal Soul concept re-appear?
My current plan is that Terminal Soul would be a side-scrolling action shooter, with dialogue during gameplay to progress the story. For reference, look up a game called Half Life. That game has next to no cut-scenes, but it's story is derived via dialogue and interactions between either the player and the NPCs, or between two different NPCs, or both.
Alternatively it may appear as a webcomic, if by the off-chance I feel like developing video games aren't my thing, but hopefully that doesn't happen.
When do you plan on developing the hypothetical game?
No one knows, but I want to make it in the near future. That's all I can say for now.
kthxbye. :P
